As the the ink from the pen
Discharged onto the paper
I feel a calmness settle over me-
I never knew-ink
Onto a paper could be
As euphoric as dope
in the blood
Some call their pen, their weapon
their tongue, their words, or their voice
I could paint
I could write
I could enjoy the outdoors more
I could camp
I could hike
I could design mask
I could go for bike rides
I could hear more music
I could listen to the wind
I could search for the truth
I could love everyone I meet
I could be open to all solutions
I could be open to all problems
I could settle into me
Becoming me reminds me of how jeans feel
when they first come out of the dryer-
tight, stiff, and restrictive

This is great.
This feels free and optimistic.
It feels open.
I'm glad to see more Benton stuff creeping in and replacing the quotes. Good as the quotes are/were, your personal stuff has been honest and wonderful. Thanks Benton :)
Thank you-your kind words really mean alot to me
I agree. I think your writing is really good and transparent.
BTW, I finally got a Santa Cruz photo up on my blog if you want to check it out. Statue for statue.
